The Pitt Artist Pen is filled with India ink — pigmented, waterproof once dry, and lightfast, so a drawing made with it will not fade or bleed when colour is washed over it.

The brush nib flexes under pressure: a light touch gives a hairline, a firm one gives a broad stroke, and you control the width by hand rather than by swapping pens. This set covers the greys through to solid black, which is what tonal drawing and inking actually need.
