Description
Canson Sketch Pad, 150 gsm, 20 Sheets.
A sketch pad is a stack of loose-bound drawing sheets — you work on the top sheet and tear it off when it is finished, rather than keeping everything bound together.
Weight is what you are really buying. Around 150 gsm handles pencil, charcoal and dry media comfortably; 190 gsm and above starts to take light wash without buckling; below 120 gsm is for quick studies you do not intend to keep. Match the weight to the wettest thing you plan to put on it.
- Around 150 gsm for pencil, charcoal and dry media
- 190 gsm and up takes light wash without buckling
- Tear from the bound edge in one steady pull
