Brush Colour Fineliner, Thick 1.5 mm, Yellow

This is a fineliner at the thick end of the range — 1.5 mm rather than the usual 0.4. It is wide enough to be a colour in its own right, not just a line: strong enough for headings, borders, bold underlining and the outline stage of a coloured drawing where a thin fineliner would look timid.

At this width the line covers, so the colour reads solid rather than as a thin stroke — which is the point of a thick fineliner over a fine one. The ink is water-based, so it is not waterproof and a wash over it will move the line; and the tip, being wider, holds more ink and lasts longer between the skips that kill a fine tip. Cap it promptly all the same, and keep it to smooth paper.

In yellow, it works as a warm outline and heading colour — strong enough to structure a page without the finality of black.
