A soft (dry) pastel in pencil form — the blend and colour of chalk pastel with the control of a point, for detail and edges a pastel stick can't reach.

Like all soft pastel it wants a toothed, ideally toned surface and it needs fixing once you're done. On smooth white paper it looks weak and slides.
