Extra Fine Poster Gouache, Tube 21 ml, No. 200 Yellow

Extra Fine Poster Gouache, Tube 21 ml, No. 200 Yellow.

Poster gouache is opaque water colour — the same pigments as watercolour but bound so it dries flat and solid, covering whatever is underneath instead of glowing through it.

That opacity is why it is the standard medium for design work, posters and colour studies: you can paint light over dark, correct a mistake by painting over it, and get an even flat area that photographs and scans cleanly. Thin it with water for washes, or use it straight from the tube for full cover — and keep the cap on, because gouache dries fast once air reaches it.

• Opaque — paint light colours over dark ones
• Dries flat and even, ideal for scanning and photography
• Thin with water for washes, or use neat for full cover
• Re-cap immediately — gouache dries fast in air
