Linoleum Printmaking Plate, Brown

Linoleum Printmaking Plate, Brown — in Black.

Lino and wood carving tools cut a relief into a block so that what remains standing takes the ink and prints — the oldest form of printmaking there is.

Always cut away from your holding hand — a gouge that slips travels fast and does not stop at skin. Take shallow passes rather than deep ones, and remember the print comes out mirrored, so any lettering must be cut in reverse.
