Keep Smiling Soft Pastel Pencils, Skin Tones, 12 Pencils.

A pastel pencil is soft pastel in a wooden barrel — the same pigment, but with a point you can sharpen and a body that keeps it off your fingers.

That makes it the tool for detail that stick pastel is too blunt for: eyes, lips, individual hairs, the edge where two tones meet. Most pastel work uses both — sticks to block in the mass, pencils to bring the detail back on top.
