The Goldfaber 1221 is Faber-Castell's everyday graphite pencil for drawing, sketching and writing — the pencil most students start with, and the one most studios keep a box of.

2B is the sketching standard: dark enough to build tone quickly, still controlled enough to keep a clean line. If you draw more than you write, this is usually the grade to buy first.

  • Break-resistant lead, bonded along its full length by Faber-Castell's SV process
